The ten unhealthiest fast food options for children: From a 980-calorie Dairy Queen kid’s meal to Sonic’s fat-filled grilled cheese

It’s no secret that most fast food is  unhealthy, but it’s the sheer amount of calories and sodium in many  ‘kid-friendly’ fast food meals that is a real cause for concern.

The unhealthiest kids’ meals at ten leading  fast food restaurants, according to the Daily Meal, is headed by a Dairy Queen  cheeseburger meal with French fries, milk and a soft serve ‘Dilly Bar’, which  all add up to a whopping 980 calories, 1,655 milligrams of sodium and 49 grams  of fat.

The other meals on the list include the  McDonald’s Happy Meal, a very calorific kids’ meal at Jack in the Box and a  sodium-loaded grilled cheese and tater tots from Sonic.

Some of the meals contain healthy ingredients  – like the McDonald’s Happy Meal, which comes with a bag of apple  slices.

But with 20 grams of fat, 880 milligrams of  sodium and 520 calories, the meal could evidently be improved upon.
